Ibstock Birtley Olde English Buff Brick 65mm

£1.42£1,418.70 Ex. VAT

The Ibstock Birtley Olde English Buff is a solid, water-struck facing brick that artfully marries the gentle patina of aged stock with the precision of modern manufacture. Each unit measures 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm, slotting seamlessly into stretcher, English or Flemish bond patterns, and carries a subtly distressed, sand-textured face in warm buff tones that diffuse daylight to lend façades a soft, tactile character.

Behind its charming exterior lies robust performance: fired from dense, clay-rich bodies, these bricks deliver a compressive strength of around 20 N/mm², absorb less than 12 percent water by weight, and meet F2 frost-resistance and S2 soluble-salts ratings—qualities that ensure lasting integrity even in exposed UK conditions. Vertical perforations reduce each brick’s dry weight for easier handling and improve thermal and acoustic performance within the wall, while providing an excellent mechanical key for mortar and enabling rapid, uniform laying.

Supplied in packs of 392, the Olde English Buff brick is a favorite for both new-build projects and sympathetic extensions, offering dependable value alongside an authentic, time-worn aesthetic that will mature gracefully over years of service.
